About the Role

EveryDay Labs is at a unique inflection point and ready to scale it’s go-to-market organization. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow the sales team responsible for scaling EveryDay Labs’ impact to reach millions of K12 students, with a goal of preventing 5% of K12 student absences.

As Vice President of Sales reporting to the CEO, you’ll play a vital role in driving EveryDay Labs’ growth. You will be responsible for the strategic leadership and tactical management of the sales team, helping your team to forge and deepen relationships with district leaders, listening to their most pressing priorities and connecting them to EveryDay Labs’ solutions.

As a hands-on manager and world-class people developer, you will be highly engaged in the ‘business of sales’ and act as the premier sales coach, prospecting coach, and mentor – in addition to recruiting, training, and developing your team. You will drive innovation and execution of EveryDay Labs’ revenue engine via a culture of teamwork, accountability, and results.

About You

  1. You have a proven track record of success:
    • You have 5+ years experience managing teams selling to district level stakeholders (e.g., superintendents, students services directors, instructional directors, area superintendents, CAOs, etc)
    • You have experience with selling to K12 districts of all sizes, and a wide variety of contract sizes (e.g., $20K-$500K)
    • You have led 10x growth, building and optimizing repeatable sales playbook, and growing a team from 5-20+
  2. You are deeply data-driven:
    • You depend on CRM data analysis to track individual activity, manage pipeline, forecast
    • You are adept at using data analysis to uncover ways to accelerate growth, identify and eliminate barriers, and make high-quality decisions
    • You are fearless about learning and focused on continuous improvement

    • You are an extraordinary people developer, with a track record of recruiting talented and effective team members, effectively onboarding and training, and providing world-class coaching to help them navigate complex sales cycles and perfect their craft to achieve their goals

Essential Responsibilities

  • Sales Organization Leadership
    • Establish and maintain a sales team culture that is results-driven, collaborative, consultative, accountable, effective and well-rewarded
    • Develop comprehensive strategies to accelerate growth to hit company-level and individual-level revenue goals, defining team and individual success metrics and KPIs
    • Model effective communication, problem-solving, strategic planning, and consistent, energetic and positive leadership for the team and the company
    • Manage sales KPIs and collaborate with finance to develop and manage a staffing and budget plan to meet our growth and financial objectives.
    • Maintain an understanding of relevant and timely industry trends to support advisory/peer role with educational leaders and customers.
  • Talent Development
    • Partner with team members to develop territory plans designed to build diversified and meaningful pipelines as well as to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals, and helping them to achieve the right mix of prospecting, researching, presenting, and closing
    • Recruit, on-board, train, and coach team members to excel, helping them to meet their individual goals, become trusted advisors to district leaders, and ultimately drive consistent, repeatable growth and student impact
    • Build BDR/SDR team and provide leadership to sales operations and proposals team
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Senior Leadership:
    • Collaborate with other leaders and departments to ensure teams work together to execute against a shared growth strategy and provide an outstanding customer experience, from initial discovery through program implementation, resulting in enthusiastic client advocates and champions.
    • Along with others on the leadership team, determine short and long-term priorities, share field intelligence, determine pricing, and partner on creative projects, products, initiatives and events
    • Take a “seat at the table” as a true business partner on the executive team who operates with an end-to-end value perspective, broad business acumen, and independent point of view, contributing to decisions about how to advance EveryDay Labs’ mission and grow our impact.
